You described what you wanted, Bolt wrote the code, and a few prompts later you had a real website. That is a genuinely good feeling. Then the small questions start. Why does the link look blank when you text it to a friend? Did that form submission ever go anywhere? Is the site on your domain yet, or still on a preview address?
This page is for people who built with Bolt (bolt.new) and want the site to work as hard as it looks.
Where these sites usually break
Bolt is excellent at producing a working front end fast. What it can’t know is everything your site needs to do once real people, search engines and inboxes start interacting with it. The same gaps come up again and again.
- One title for every page. Bolt projects are usually single-page apps built with tools like Vite and React. That means one HTML file, one title and one description, no matter which page someone lands on. Google sees a site where every page has the same name.
- Broken link previews. When you share a link on LinkedIn, iMessage or Slack, those apps read tags from the page’s HTML. They generally don’t run your JavaScript, so they never see anything set after the page loads. The result is a blank card or your homepage’s details on every link.
- Forms with no backend. A form can look perfect and still send nothing. If it was generated without a service to receive and deliver submissions, messages simply disappear.
- Custom domain and DNS. Moving from a preview URL to your own domain means DNS records, a host setup and SSL. It’s easy to get one record wrong, and DNS changes can take time to show up, which makes troubleshooting confusing.
- Environment variables and keys. Bolt makes it easy to connect services. It also makes it easy to paste a secret key into frontend code, where anyone can read it. Secret keys belong on a server or in serverless functions, never in the browser.
- No analytics. Many Bolt sites launch without GA4, so you have no idea who is visiting or what they do.
A Bolt site can look finished and still be invisible to Google, silent in your inbox and missing from your analytics.
What AftUp handles
We work inside the project you already have. No rebuild, no new platform.
- Getting live on your domain. On every plan, we handle DNS, hosting setup and SSL in the first month. See hosting and domains.
- Per-page SEO. Unique titles and descriptions per route, a sitemap, and Search Console setup so Google can find your pages. Submitting a sitemap helps indexing, though no one can guarantee it. More on SEO.
- Link previews that work. We set Open Graph tags per page, with a 1200x630 image, and add prerendering where needed so share cards show the right page. See social previews.
- Forms that deliver. We connect your forms to a real backend, set up email properly, and test them regularly. See forms and email.
- Keys out of the browser. We look for exposed secrets, move them where they belong and rotate any that leaked. See security and backups.
- GA4 and tracking. Analytics installed correctly, plus conversion tracking for forms and calls on Growth and above. See analytics.
- Uptime and SSL monitoring. We watch the site around the clock and hear about problems before your visitors do.
Which plan fits
Growth ($299/mo) is the right fit for most Bolt sites. The common gaps, like per-route meta, prerendering, form backends and key cleanup, take real hands-on time, and Growth includes up to two hours of fixes each month plus weekly form and broken-link checks. If your site is a simple one-pager and you mainly want monitoring, analytics and SEO basics, Starter at $99/mo covers it. You can compare everything on the pricing page.
Every plan is month to month, and you keep full ownership of your code, domain and accounts.
