You built something real in Lovable. People can sign up, log in, save things and maybe pay you. It feels like an app because it is one. And somewhere in the back of your mind is a quiet question: is this actually safe, and will anyone find it?
This page is for founders, creators and small teams who built a site or app with Lovable and want it to hold up once real users arrive.
Where these sites usually break
Lovable connects a polished front end to a Supabase backend quickly. That speed is the point. It also means a few important decisions get made by default, and defaults aren’t always what you’d choose.
- Row Level Security left open or too loose. Supabase stores your data in Postgres tables. Row Level Security (RLS) is the set of rules that decides who can read or change each row. If RLS is off, or a policy is written too broadly, one user may be able to see another user’s data. This is the single most important thing to check.
- The wrong key in the wrong place. Supabase gives you a public “anon” key, which is meant to be in the browser, and a “service_role” key, which bypasses RLS entirely. The service_role key must never appear in frontend code.
- Auth edge cases. Email confirmation, password resets and redirect URLs often still point at a preview address after you move to your own domain. Users click a reset link and land somewhere broken.
- Custom domain setup. Connecting your domain means DNS records and SSL. SSL is usually automatic on modern hosts once DNS is right, but DNS changes can take time to propagate, and auth settings need updating to match.
- SEO for a single-page app. Like most Lovable builds, your app likely serves one HTML file with one title and description for every route. Search engines and link previews see the same generic details everywhere.
- Stripe shortcuts. Payments are easy to wire up in a way that works but isn’t safe, such as a secret key in the browser or a price the browser sends to the server.
If your app stores anything about your users, Row Level Security is not optional. It is the lock on the front door.
What AftUp handles
We work in your Lovable project and your Supabase project as they are. No rebuild.
- RLS review and fixes. We check every table, write or tighten policies, and confirm users can only reach their own data. See logins and accounts.
- Keys and secrets. We make sure only the public key is in the browser and move anything sensitive to server-side functions. See security and backups.
- Your own domain. On every plan, we get the app live on its own domain in the first month and update auth redirect settings to match. See hosting and domains.
- SEO and previews. Per-route titles, descriptions and Open Graph tags, a sitemap and Search Console. More on SEO and social previews.
- Safe Stripe payments. We favor Stripe Checkout or Payment Links, keep secret keys on the server and set prices server-side. See payments.
- Monitoring and analytics. Uptime and SSL monitoring, GA4, and a monthly plain-English report.
Which plan fits
Growth ($299/mo) fits most Lovable apps. An RLS review, auth fixes and per-route SEO take real hands-on time, and Growth includes up to two hours of fixes each month with a response within one business day. If your app is growing quickly, adding features or taking meaningful revenue, Scale at $799/mo gives you up to six hours, same-day priority response and a direct line to a strategist. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
