Website care for local service businesses

When your phone rings, your business grows. We make sure your website helps it ring, and that you can see exactly when it does.

If you run a plumbing company, a salon, a contracting business, a dental office or a law or tax practice, your website has one job: get people to call or fill out the form. You probably built it yourself, or had a relative or freelancer set it up on Wix, Squarespace or a newer AI builder. It looks fine. But you don’t really know whether it’s bringing in work, and you don’t have time to find out.

This page is for owners and office managers of local service businesses, on any builder.

Where these sites usually break

Local sites rarely fail in dramatic ways. They fail quietly, and the cost shows up as fewer calls.

  • Forms that don’t arrive. The notification goes to an old email, lands in spam, or the form broke after a small edit. Every missed submission is a missed job.
  • Phone numbers that aren’t tappable. On a phone, a number should be one tap away. Numbers inside images or plain text force people to copy and paste, and many won’t.
  • No call or form tracking. Without conversion tracking, you can’t tell whether the site produced three leads last month or thirty.
  • Missing LocalBusiness structured data. Structured data tells search engines your name, address, phone, hours and service area in a reliable format. Many local sites have none.
  • Google Business Profile drift. Hours change, services change, the website link points to an old page. For local searches, your profile is often the first thing people see.
  • Review stars that won’t show. Some sites add star-rating markup for their own reviews hoping for gold stars in search. Google doesn’t show those for self-serving reviews, and the markup can be ignored.
  • Slow mobile pages. Most local searches happen on phones, often in a hurry. Heavy images and bloated pages lose people before the phone number loads.

For a local business, a working contact form and a tappable phone number are worth more than any redesign.

What AftUp handles

We work inside the builder you already use. No rebuild.

  • Forms that reach you. We confirm where submissions go, set up email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) so notifications stay out of spam, and test weekly on Growth. See forms and email.
  • Click-to-call and form tracking. We make phone numbers tappable and track calls and forms in GA4 so you can see real lead counts. See analytics.
  • LocalBusiness structured data. Accurate name, address, phone, hours and service area markup. See structured data.
  • Google Business Profile check-up. We review your profile against your site and flag what to fix.
  • Reviews, done the right way. We link to your Business Profile reviews and feature real quotes on your site, without star markup Google won’t honor.
  • Fast mobile pages. Image compression and page speed tuning. See speed and performance.
  • Local SEO basics. Titles and descriptions that name your services and area. See SEO.

Which plan fits

Growth ($299/mo) is built for local service businesses. Call and form tracking, weekly form checks, the Google Business Profile check-up and speed tuning are all in it, and those are the pieces that move the phone. If you serve several locations or want new service-area pages and fresh content every month, Scale at $799/mo adds up to six hours of work and a monthly SEO content refresh. See the pricing page.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you track how many calls come from my website?

Yes. On Growth and above, we set up conversion tracking for click-to-call taps and form submissions in GA4, so your monthly report shows how many leads the site produced.

Should I add review stars to my website so they show in Google?

We don't recommend it. Google doesn't show star snippets for reviews a business marks up about itself on its own site. Your Google Business Profile is the better home for reviews, and we can link to it and feature quotes on your site.

Does it matter which builder my site is on?

No. We work with Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, Bolt, Lovable and similar tools, inside whatever you already use. You keep full ownership of the site, domain and accounts.

What is LocalBusiness structured data?

It is code that tells search engines your business name, address, phone, hours and service area in a format they can read reliably. It helps Google understand who you are and where you work.
