Care plans for small online stores

You've got products, a checkout and your first orders. We keep the money flowing safely, the emails landing and the numbers visible.

Maybe you sell candles, prints, a digital course or handmade goods. You set up a small shop with a lite Shopify plan, a few Stripe Payment Links on your site, or a store you built in Lovable or Bolt. Orders are starting to come in. Now the questions change from “does it work” to “is it safe, is it reliable, and is anyone seeing my products in Google.”

This page is for small shop owners who want their store to feel as trustworthy as a big brand’s, without hiring a developer.

Where these sites usually break

Small stores tend to break in the places customers care about most: paying, getting their receipt and trusting you enough to buy.

  • Payment shortcuts. On custom-built stores, it’s easy to put a Stripe secret key in frontend code, or let the browser tell the server what to charge. Both are risky. Anyone can read browser code, and a price sent from the browser can be changed.
  • Order emails landing in spam. If your sending domain lacks SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, confirmation and shipping emails may never reach customers. They think you took their money and vanished.
  • No product structured data. Product markup tells search engines your product name, price, availability and images in a reliable format. Without it, Google has less to work with when showing your products.
  • Analytics with no ecommerce events. You may know how many people visited, but not how many added to cart, started checkout or bought.
  • Slow product pages. Big product photos and extra apps or scripts weigh pages down, especially on phones.
  • Missing or thin policy pages. Shipping, returns, terms and privacy pages help customers trust you, and payment providers and ad platforms often expect them.

Customers forgive a plain design. They don’t forgive a missing receipt.

What AftUp handles

We work in the store setup you already have. No replatforming.

  • Safe payments. We favor Stripe Checkout or Payment Links, keep secret keys off the frontend and make sure prices are set server-side or in Stripe. See payments.
  • Order emails that arrive. SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your sending domain, plus delivery tests. See forms and email.
  • Product structured data. Accurate product, price and availability markup. See structured data.
  • Ecommerce tracking. GA4 with product, cart, checkout and purchase events so you can see where sales stall. See analytics.
  • Faster pages. Image compression and trimming heavy scripts. See speed and performance.
  • Policy pages. We set up shipping, returns, terms and privacy pages and the tools behind them. Your lawyer should review the policies. See legal pages.
  • Uptime and SSL monitoring. If checkout goes down, we know quickly.

Which plan fits

Growth ($299/mo) is the right fit for most small stores. Payment reviews, email authentication, ecommerce tracking and speed tuning take real hands-on time, and Growth includes up to two hours of fixes each month with a response within one business day. If your store is busy, launches products often or depends on steady new content, Scale at $799/mo adds more hours, same-day priority response and a monthly SEO content refresh. Compare on the pricing page.

If your store sells just a few items through Payment Links and you mostly want monitoring, GA4 and SEO basics, Starter at $99/mo is a fair place to begin. Every plan is month to month, and you keep full ownership of your store, domain and payment accounts.

FAQ

Common questions

Is it safe to take payments on a site I built with an AI builder?

It can be. The safest simple path is Stripe Checkout or Payment Links, where Stripe hosts the payment page. The key rules are that secret keys never go in frontend code and prices are set on the server or in Stripe, not trusted from the browser.

Why are my order confirmation emails going to spam?

Usually because the sending domain isn't authenticated. Email providers expect SPF, DKIM and DMARC records on the domain that sends your emails. We set those up and test delivery.

Can you track sales in Google Analytics?

Yes. We set up GA4 ecommerce events such as viewing a product, starting checkout and completing a purchase, so you can see where shoppers drop off.

Do you write my return and privacy policies?

We set up the policy pages and the tools behind them, such as consent banners. Your business should have a lawyer review the policies themselves.
